1. Log into Salesforce

Go to Account → Integration in the bottom, left side of your screen.

Click “Log into Salesforce”.

2. Authorize Salesforce

3. Map Funder Data

Map the Funder field from Instrumentl to the corresponding field in Salesforce.

First, you’ll be asked which Salesforce object you use to store information about funders.

Then, you’ll be asked to map a variety of different fields from Instrumentl to the corresponding fields in Salesforce. This way, your two accounts can sync together seamlessly. Click validate/save when you are done.

4. Map Funding Opportunity Data

Map the Funding Opportunity field from Instrumentl to the corresponding object in Salesforce. First, you’ll be asked which Salesforce object you use to store information about funding opportunities.

You will again be asked to map a variety of different fields from Instrumentl to the corresponding fields in Salesforce. Then, you will be asked to fill out any additional fields that your Salesforce account requires. Click validate/save when you are done.

5. Start Syncing to Salesforce!

Now that you’ve set up Salesforce Integration, you will see a Link to Salesforce button on the right hand side of the funding opportunity modal. Initially, you’ll need to link any records you’d like Instrumentl to keep in sync with Salesforce.

Once the Funding Opportunity is linked to Salesforce, any actions you take on Instrumentl will sync automatically to the corresponding fields you have mapped to on Salesforce. Did you change a status or update a submission goal? No problem - the Salesforce integration has your back.

If any updates are made by the Funder, Instrumentl will notify you so you can re-sync that Funding Opportunity and Funder to Salesforce.
