Sometimes the Matches tab does not display all of your Opportunity Matches. In such instances, you'll see something like, 'Displaying 35 of 61 matches,' so you may be wondering, "Where are the rest of my matches?"
They're likely "hidden" by the 'Strict location preferences' filter.
We apply the 'Strict location preferences' filter by default to hide grants where you technically meet the grant's location eligibility requirements, but the funder has communicated a geographical preference that does not align with your Location of Project or Residency.
In the example below, the Location of Project and Residency is Kings County, New York.
When the Strict location preferences filter is turned off, Opportunity Matches like the "Stout Foundation Grant" appear.
The project does qualify since Kings County, NY, is within the United States (see 'Other eligible locations' below), but none of the listed Preferred locations include Kings County or New York (state). That's why this grant didn't appear with the 'Strict location preferences' filter toggled on.
You may wish to consider toggling off the 'Strict location preferences' filter in case you encounter a grant that is otherwise a great fit :)
The 'Strict location preferences' filter will help narrow down your Opportunity Matches so that you can quickly research the best-fit grants first. For other tips on sorting and filtering your matches, be sure to read more here.
