Instrumentl's Tracker feature is a project management tool in Instrumentl that helps you track, organize, and manage all your grants in one place. Whether you're managing one or multiple projects, it keeps your grant process streamlined and organized.
How the Grant Tracker Works
Whenever you create a project on Instrumentl, a Tracker is automatically created as well, helping you manage each grant opportunity, whether you're in the researching phase or post-award!
When you save a Match to a project, it's automatically added to your project's Tracker with a "Researching" status by default. As you make progress on the opportunity, you can update the Status and other criteria accordingly.
Key features of the Grant Tracker
Status Tracking: Easily update the status of your grants (e.g., "Researching," "Application Submitted," "Awarded") to monitor where each opportunity is in your pipeline. Learn more about grant statuses here.
Task and Deadline Management: Assign tasks, set deadlines, and receive automated reminders for key milestones like submission and reporting deadlines.
Collaborative Workspace: Assign team members to specific tasks and grants, ensuring everyone stays on the same page.
Historical and Custom Grant Tracking: Add your historical grants or grants found outside of Instrumentl to track everything in one place.
Flexible Filters and Sorting: Filter grants by status, deadline, or other criteria to focus on priorities, and use sorting options to quickly prioritize tasks or opportunities. Learn more about customizing your Tracker view here.
All Projects Tracker vs. Specific Project Tracker
Apart from project-specific Trackers, you'll also have a master Tracker for all your saved opportunities.
Once you have multiple projects set up in Instrumentl, the All Projects Tracker lets you easily manage and track opportunities from all your projects in one place. It combines every saved grant into a single view, allowing you to:
Get a Comprehensive Overview: See the status of all your grant opportunities at a glance, no matter which project they belong to.
Filter and Sort: Apply filters by status, funder, deadline, or other criteria to focus on key tasks and opportunities across all projects.
Stay Organized: Easily prioritize tasks or upcoming deadlines by sorting opportunities across your entire grant portfolio.
If you would rather view only opportunities related to one project, you can click into that specific project in the left-hand navigation. That will automatically show you the Tracker for that specific project.
As you save opportunities to your Tracker & update your progress, you can easily capture your Tracker data by downloading built-in Instrumentl Reports.
