When you view your Grant Tracker, you’ll default to viewing grants for the current and future years. This means, if you login to Instrumentl on Jan 1, 2021, you’ll no longer see your 2020 grants by default.
View Saved Grants from Previous Years
To view your saved grants from previous years:
Navigate to your All Projects Tracker or Grant Tracker for a specific project
Click on the “Year” dropdown at the top
Select the year(s) you’d like to include on your Tracker
Now that you’ve got your previous year(s) selected, you may see grants you’d like to continue working on in the next year. For example, you may still have grants in the “Researching” status that you haven’t applied to yet.
Populating New Grants for Next Year
As you plan for the next year, you may want to renew current grants, or re-apply to grants you've lost or submitted in previous years. Or, you may want to create another record for a multi-year grant that spans across fiscal years.
To create a new record for an upcoming year:
From your Tracker, open the grant you would consider re-applying to
Navigate to the bottom right hand side and click the More Options drop down arrow
Click Duplicate
4. This will create a new record and you can choose a new Year and Project, and edit the Status, Notes, and all other fields
Once you fill save this record, you can see the complete history for this funder on the left-hand side of the funder view.
Move Grants to the Next Year
With your previous year(s) selected, you may see grants you’d like to continue working on in the next year. For example, you may still have grants in the “Planned” status that you haven’t applied to yet.
To move grants from a past year to another year:
Open the grant from your Tracker, and scroll to the top right hand corner
Click “Edit year” and select the year to change the year.
Best of luck planning for upcoming years, and don’t hesitate to ask us any question in the Help Center! :)
