We understand that nonprofits can experience changes to their budget, bandwidth and focus. You may need to temporarily step away from your work here in Instrumentl as you realign—Maintenance Mode makes this process seamless!
Maintenance Mode allows you to put your subscription on hold so you can easily pick up where you left off, rather than restart from scratch.
Overview
Check whether your account is eligible for Maintenance Mode, and learn how it works below.
What is Maintenance Mode?
Maintenance Mode is an account status that indicates your subscription is paused. In this state, you can still view and manage your Settings, Team, Organization/Client Profile(s), Document Library, and Stats. However, you will not have access to your Tracker or Matches (including the ability to download data from reports).
Eligibility
To be eligible for Maintenance Mode, your account must meet both of the following requirements:
Your account must be actively subscribed to a paid plan*.
Your subscription was not paused at any point earlier this year (Maintenance Mode is available once per calendar year).
You have no outstanding invoices 'past due' from failed subscription renewal charge attempts.
*Note: Maintenance mode is not available to free-trial users.
Duration
By default, Maintenance Mode runs for 3 months, which is the maximum length of time your subscription can be paused each calendar year. You may unpause your subscription at any point during this three-month period to regain access to your project/Tracker data & Matches.
Please Note: Once you deactivate Maintenance Mode, you cannot reactivate it until the following calendar year (even if you exit Maintenance Mode before the three-month limit). Any unused time in Maintenance Mode is forfeited and does not roll over to the following year.
Monthly vs Annual billing
Monthly billing
For monthly subscriptions, Maintenance Mode starts immediately upon enrolling. Any remaining subscription time in this monthly billing cycle will be credited to your account, since you have already paid for a full month of access.
Maintenance Mode will run for exactly 3 months from the day you enrolled, during which time you'll be charged $5 per month. When the three months are up, your subscription will automatically resume (unless you manually unpause sooner). When exiting Maintenance Mode, your account will be charged a prorated amount for the remaining time in that monthly billing cycle.
Note: Before charging your payment method on file, any credit balance on your account will be debited first. Regular billing will commence the following monthly billing cycle.
Annual billing
If you make yearly payments, Maintenance Mode will begin as soon as your annual subscription period concludes. At that time, your subscription will change from annual to monthly. For the 3 months following the conclusion of your annual billing cycle, your account will be charged $5 per month.
After three months, your account will automatically reactivate with regular monthly billing.
Alternatively, you can resume your subscription before the three months are up, in which case, you'll be charged for the remaining time in the monthly billing cycle you exited Maintenance Mode. Regular monthly billing will commence the following cycle.
If you wish to revert your subscription to annual payments, go to the Pricing page > select Edit Plan > choose billed yearly > Confirm Payment.
Note: If you change your subscription from monthly to annual, your billing cycle will restart immediately. Any remaining/unused time in the current monthly billing cycle will be credited and applied to the annual subscription payment.
