Projects in Instrumentl help to organize your workspace, and each project is typically mapped to one program area. If you're interested in creating brand new projects, you can learn more here.

Neatly organizing and adjusting your project workspaces to fit your needs makes it easier streamline grant tracking. If you previously created two projects in Instrumentl and later decide that you'd like to "merge" and combine them into one, you can certainly do so!

Follow the steps below to combine & relocate grants from multiple projects into a singular project.

1. Move saved opportunities over to one project

The first step is to move all of the saved opportunities from Project A into Project B (the project you'd like to keep). To do this, you'll have to individually click into each saved opportunity in your Tracker for Project A and change the Project using the dropdown in the top right.

2. Delete the empty project

Once all saved opportunities have been moved into Project B, the Tracker for Project A should be empty. At this point, you can easily delete Project A.

3. Edit the new, combined project

Once you have "merged" your projects into one, it's important you review the project setup to ensure the details are still accurate. You'll want to review criteria like Fields of Work, project location, funding use, etc.
