Not all opportunities you save will be perfect; this is a reality of prospecting.
Fortunately, Instrumentl's full lifecycle grant operating system allows you to reprioritize and reorganize opportunities to improve grant management. By removing ill-suited opportunities now, your team will have a simpler "today" and an even easier "tomorrow".
If you've decided that a grant is not a good fit and would not consider applying in the future, you can remove the grant from your project's tracker.
This ensures you don't continue receiving email reminders about that opportunity.
Clearing out bad-fit opportunities (or accidental duplicates) keeps your tracker tidy and allows you to focus solely on those most relevant to your project.
However, if you might want to apply to this opportunity in a future cycle, you may want to change its status to Abandoned rather than remove it.
Remove a grant from your Tracker
From your project's Tracker, select the grant you want to remove.
At the bottom-right-hand corner of the window, click More options.
Select Remove from Tracker.
In the pop-up window, click the red Remove Grant button to confirm.
The opportunity will no longer appear in your project's Tracker!
Hiding matches
Hide opportunities while prospecting: Before saving a grant to your tracker, you can hide opportunities from projects directly within your Matches tab. Click Hide from this project or select the three-dot button to see the option to Hide from all projects.
Viewing hidden opportunities
Removing the grant will, in essence, "un-save" the opportunity from your project's Tracker and move the grant to the list of 'hidden' grants. If needed, you can always find the grant again by navigating to your project's Matches tab and selecting Hidden From This Project.
To locate opportunity matches you hid from all projects, select Hidden from all in the left navigation menu under Matches.
Unhiding opportunities
To unhide a grant or opportunity for a specific project:
Navigate to Hidden From This Project (or Hidden from all).
Locate the grant or opportunity you want to unhide (you can scroll through the list or use the search function to find it).
Choose one of the following options:
Save: Adds the grant to your Tracker for monitoring.
Unhide from this project: Restores the grant to the project’s matches.
Alternatively, use the three-dot menu on the grant for the option to Unhide from all projects.
Tracking-only projects
If you chose Tracking as the 'Project Type' when creating your project, locating opportunities hidden from this project will require some extra steps.
1. You will need to enable matches by editing your project.
2. Select Matches & tracking under 'Project type'. (If you're on the classic experience, proceed to page #2 and select Save & Exit).
4. Navigate to the Matches tab > select Hidden From This Project
5. When finished viewing or making changes to your list of hidden opportunities, edit your project once again to revert the project type to Tracking only.
