Award Assistant: Automatically extract key reporting data and generate tasks from grant agreements, simplifying post-award compliance. Our AI-powered award review tool does the heavy lifting for you!
Payments tracking: Clearly monitor expected and received payments from the funders of your awarded grants.
Budget parsing: Upload your budget, and Instrumentl does the rest, converting it into an interactive breakdown in seconds so you always know where you stand.
Consultants Plans
The following features are not available on the Consultant Pre-Award Plan:
Project Members: Consultants can grant account users project-level access as a starting point on the Full Lifecycle Plan. Add a client as a project member to collaborate only on their projects without compromising the integrity of your other clients' data.
Peer Prospecting is available only on Nonprofit Plans. This feature uses EINs for comparison, which is incompatible with how consultant accounts are configured to have multiple client profiles.

Custom Fields
Streamline your data management by storing and organizing data that fits your organization's needs. Custom Fields allow you to create your own data categories for opportunities and funders, making tracking even easier. Add fields like priority status, probability of winning, private notes, renewals, restrictions, internal ID, and beyond!
Generally, if a specific Instrumentl field does not exist for a piece of data, you'd store this information in your notes section. Custom Fields supports a variety of formats, including text, dropdown options, dates, monetary amounts, and more.
CRM integrations
Stay in sync across platforms! Say goodbye to retyping data from Instrumentl or exporting CSVs from reports into other CRMs. With our three CRM integrations, you can seamlessly maintain your funder and opportunity records all in Instrumentl.
Note: To keep your account clean and manageable, we suggest not syncing it to multiple CRMs at this time.
Initially, you will need to configure the integration by mapping Instrumentl fields to the corresponding fields in Salesforce, Raiser's Edge NXT, or Virtuous.
Once configured, updates made in your Tracker will automatically sync to your Salesforce, Raiser's Edge NXT, or Virtuous account. Your Instrumentl Tracker can now become the single source of truth for all your grant work.
📆 Calendar integrations
View all your deadlines in one place with Calendar integration. This allows you to view your Instrumentl Task Deadlines, Submission Goals, Submission Dates, and Funder Deadlines on either your Apple, Outlook, or Google Calendar.
Initially, you'll configure Calendar integration by syncing your Instrumentl Calendar to your external calendar:
Then, any changes made on Instrumentl will be reflected on your external calendar. Calendar Integrations are available on any web calendar that uses the iCal format.
Project Members
We've added even more ways to put the "management" in grants management! Customize your Core User's access to projects with the Project Member role. This allows you to manage user permissions and protect sensitive data.
Enhance team collaboration with clear roles and responsibilities, ensuring smooth project management by giving the right users access to the information they need most.

The Project Member role for Core Users is unavailable to consultants on the Pre-Award Plan. This feature is available to consultants starting on the Full Lifecycle Plan.
Collaborator access
In addition to the Core Users on the team, the Pre-Award Plan includes 10 Collaborator user seats. Collaborator access allows you to streamline your grants work end-to-end by assigning tasks to external stakeholders.
Individuals from your finance team, clients, and more can easily receive & complete tasks, organize their assigned task deadlines with a one-click calendar integration link, and mark them as complete—all without ever needing to learn or use Instrumentl's platform.
Collaborators will receive your task assignments & document attachments via email, and all additional correspondence can be continued within the same email thread. Your Collaborators can simply click Mark Complete directly within the email, keeping work efficient & organized for everyone!

Information is instantly populated in Instrumentl and can be cross-checked against generated citations. You'll be able to download summaries and share the details with non-Instrumentl stakeholders as well!

Payments tracking
Simplify your post-award management with Payments Tracking. Easily stay up to date on the expected and received payments for awarded opportunities. You can check out your payment statistics by fiscal year, funder type, and even more breakdowns as you track your payments.
Budget parsing
Drag and drop budget imports into your awarded opportunities' Financials tab to parse your budget within Instrumentl.
You can manually modify your budget at any time, including creating a new budget from scratch.
